A Note From Our Founder
People often ask me why I started Finding Ways.
The truth is, there isn’t one answer.
Finding Ways was shaped by a lifetime of experiences and by people who left a lasting mark on my heart.
As a young woman, I had the opportunity to work with girls whose lives looked very different from my own. I thought I was there to help them, but they ended up teaching me more than I could have ever imagined. They challenged my perspective, opened my eyes, and showed me the importance of listening, understanding, and seeing people for who they are.
My father also played a tremendous role in shaping who I am. He taught me about kindness, gratitude, resilience, and seeing the good in people. No matter what life handed him, he remained positive, hopeful, and focused on moving forward.
To me, he was simply my hero.
Years later, one of my closest friends was diagnosed with colon cancer. For more than three years, I walked beside her through treatments, surgeries, hospital stays, and some of the most difficult moments of her life. I drove countless miles, spent nights on hospital floors, and did everything I could to be there for her.
When she passed away in 2024, she left behind a lesson I will never forget:
Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do for another person is simply show up.
That lesson became part of the foundation of Finding Ways.
Through my work with St. Jude, MercyFirst, Night to Shine through the Tim Tebow Foundation, and many other causes, I have seen firsthand how powerful compassion can be when people come together with a shared purpose.
I have learned that every cause has a face. Every struggle has a story. And every person deserves to know they matter.
That belief became Finding Ways.
